BENV7813 Contemporary Fabrication Techniques

For my documentation, I wanted to take similar theatrical characteristics from the Harry Potter movies, where music plays an important role in creating the wizarding sense in the movies. The Fabrication -  THE BURROW/ WEASLEY HOUSE and The Flying Ford Anglia Scale: 1:45 Fabrication techniques Laser Cutter: 1.8mm, 1.1mm, 0.6mm boxboard Woodwork:  Main structural elements - Plywood 1.6mm (Base)  and Interior Structure (10mm steel rods and nuts) 3D printing: Flying Ford Anglia Car (Grey and White PLA filament) Electrical Wiring: Lighting (light globes, battery pack, wires) and Levitation Module The intention of making this model was to challenge the idea of contemporary fabrication techniques, an amalgamation of computer work and traditional model making skills to create an architectural model that seems to appear out from a storybook and narrates a story through its details and design.
